Hilton San Diego/Del Mar Non-Smoking Policy:
The Hilton San Diego/Del Mar is 100% smoke free within the building and all guest rooms. Guests are reminded at the time of booking and upon arrival at the hotel that smoking is not permitted inside the building. Pre-arrival email notifications also include a reference to the policy. There is a $250 room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to recover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition. Designated areas away from the building are set aside for smoking, which includes the Lower Courtyard and at most exists. Smoking must be no closer than 20 feet from the building. Smoking is not permitted within 20 feet of the Upper Courtyard area outside the Polo or Silks Restaurant, according to California Code 11.08.030.
